Relaxing Day in Arezzo

As you saw from the post last night, Boomer had a very busy day at Cinque Terre! He enjoyed hiking, eating seafood, swimming, and relaxing on the gorgeous Italian beach! After that exciting but busy day, Boomer was exhausted! Today, Boomer is extremely happy because he was able to sleep in for the first time since we left for Italy! He was so glad to finally catch up on some much needed down time.

This morning, Boomer awoke to bells ringing outside his window. These bells ring every day but normally we are up and in class by the time they start! We were able to see the bells on our walking tour the first full day in Arezzo at the Piazza Grande. Here is a link to more information about this beautiful historic clock tower and how it operates:

Boomer was excited for all the free time he was able to have to day and decided it would be a great time to catch up on all his homework. He has found some time here and there to study but has found it really hard to concentrate with all the action and excitement of being in Italy. Seeing as we have a quiz and quite a few assignments due tomorrow, Boomer found the following post very helpful. Here are some general study tips on how to keep yourself focused while studying:

Taking a short break from studying, Boomer went to lunch at one of JRCoE's students' favorite brunch restaurants- Bar Stefano. It is just across the street from OU in Arezzo, tastes delicious, and, best of all, it takes our meal vouchers! Boomer enjoyed having a great meal with his friends there which included a sandwich, chocolate croissant, a bottle of water, and a soft drink. If you would like to learn more about Bar Stefano click the link below, it might give you a little glimpse into how we have to order in Italian:
