Boomer Taking in the Sights of Arezzo

Ciao from Arezzo!

Today is our third day in the beatiful Arezzo, Italy. Boomer and I have been having so much fun exploring the historic and scenic town of Arezzo. Just take a look at the main square called "Piazza Grande":
We were told that the town of Arezzo dates back to the BC Era! Do you know how long ago that is? A LONG time ago! That makes Arezzo, thousands and thousands of years old. The United States was only developed in 1776, making the US only about 300 years old. Arezzo is a very old and culturally rich town with plenty of history. Want to learn more about Arezzo? Boomer loves learning about the history of Arezzo! Ask your parents or teacher to tell you about the history of your town.

Boomer has also loved eating traditional Italian foods. Traditional Italian food includes things such as pizza, lasagna, and spaghetti. Do you love pizza? Well you need to thank Italy!! Here is a link of other Italian foods. I'm sure you will recognize lots of them and be very hungry afterwards! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Italian_dishes#Famous_dishes

After eating all that food, Boomer and I needed to take a walk! We found this gorgeous park right on the outskirts of Arezzo. Take a look at some of the pictures we took.

Boomer loved getting the chance to walk around the park! At the park there were lots of people walking, playing soccer, chasing birds, and most of all enjoying that spectacular view!

Even though there are so many fun and interesting things to see and do in Arezzo, being away from family can be hard. Italy is very far from the United States and keeping in contact with loved ones can be tricky at times. However, Boomer has found ways to cope with his homesickness such as keeping a journal, trying to maintain a positive attitude, and calling home from time to time. Ciao!!!
