After Boomer got to reunite with his distant relatives we went on to our wine tasting which had a beautiful view! We visited the Comitato Grandi Cru D'Italia wine cellar. Here we were given interesting information on how the fermentation and maturation process works when producing wine. Did you know that a wine such as the Chianti Classico is required to have 80% of Sangiovese grapes? For more information on what types of grapes are used in wine, what the temperature should be when the wine is in maturation, and more general information, visit the link provided on the Chianti Classico. www.chianticlassico.com/en/vino/il-vino-chianti-classico/
Finally we finished our night with a delicious Italian meal which included a first course filled with meats, cheese and corn mill. A second course that was a tomato bread soup (super yummy) and lastly a third course that was a pasta filled with vegetables and string noodles, oh and we can't forget the vino (wine). :) Throughout our day we were accompanied by the company named Florencetown, which is located in Firenze, Italy. This company was really great and transported us to each destination on the trip, they also had very friendly and funny staff. I highly recommend booking a trip with them the next time you visit Florence! Below is a picture with our guide, Edwardo with Flat Boomer and a link to their website. http://www.florencetown.com/
